Join the Yosemite Climbing Association on October 22nd for a Facelift Act Local cleanup in Joshua Tree, California! Get ready for a full day of giving back to places we play.

As an extension of the successful Yosemite Facelift event, the objective of Facelift Act Local is for you to pick up litter, engage in service projects on our public lands, and spread the work of stewardship to some of the most visited and beautiful recreation areas in the country. The hope is not only to help clean up Joshua Tree in a single day but to inspire action to maintain a pristine landscape here and everywhere you go!

The presenting partner for the Joshua Tree cleanup is the Friends of Joshua Tree. This nonprofit organization recognized the need for ecosystem and wildlife preservation efforts in the iconic tourist destination as rock climbing became more popular. In an effort to carry out stewardship duties while maintaining fair access for climbers, the Friends of Joshua Tree is “dedicated to preserving the historical tradition of climbing in Joshua Tree National Park. Friends of Joshua Tree advocates, communicates, and encourages ethical and environmentally sound climbing practices.”
