Groveland Facelift 2023

September 9-10, 2023

Number of Volunteers : 38

Number of Hours : 304

Pounds of Trash Collected : 899

Recycled/Diverted : 332.6

We had a bit of weather and some interference with an electrical storm that shut off the power throughout Groveland, but we still had a very successful event! We were able to collect 899 pounds of trash over a two day spand. We had special guest appearances from Deb Phillips from the Greater Valley Conservations Corps and were able to divert 332.6 lbs of trash into recycling. We also teamed up with Barbara from Black Bear Mosaics who also came to divert some of the collected trash into art. We welcomed Ken Yager the YCA founder, Max Buschini Filmmaker as presenters followed by live music performance from Jonathan McEuen.

We are thankful to all of the volunteers that came out to this event and our local partners Around the Horn Brewing, Rush Creek Lodge and Spa, Evergreen Lodge, Echo Adventure Cooperative, Groveland Trail Heads, Visit Tuolumne County, US Forest Service, and Leave No Trace. These events would not happen without the help of our Volunteers and Sponsors. Thank you all and see you next year!
