Event Coordinators
linda jarit - yosemite national park, ca
Linda has been climbing in Yosemite since the 90s and participating in Yosemite Facelift from the beginning. She has multiple first ascents in Yosemite and is a great mentor for more junior climbers. She took a more active role in Yosemite Facelift in 2017 when she agreed to help organize sponsors and volunteers making camping requests. Linda brings her open and friendly demeanor to the otherwise rough edges of the Yosemite Climbing Association. We love you, Linda!
Dakota snider - Mammoth lakes, ca
maia bickert - south lake tahoe Fundraiser, ca
Maia was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe where she learned her passion for all things outdoors. After pursuing a professional career in alpine ski racing, she studied Immunology and Infectious Disease, and moved home to Tahoe to help her community during the COVID-19 pandemic. In her spare time, she volunteers and works with several non-profit organizations. She full-heartedly believes that Tahoe is home base for some of the greatest adventures in each season. As a skier, mountain biker, trail runner, and rock climber, she jumped in as an Event Coordinator for YCA to motivate people towards our shared goals: community stewardship, trash clean up, and preservation of our recreation areas. She looks forward to helping out YCA in future efforts, and hopes to see us all out there on another adventure!
Kate Crosby - estes park, cO
I've lived in Estes Park, CO for six years and call it home after years of traveling to National Parks around the country. I was drawn to Rocky Mountain National Park thanks to its beautiful opportunities to grow through rock climbing, trail-running, and backcountry skiing. I love spending my time out there with my partner, Matt, stepdaughter, Arwyn, and two pups Nemo and Zeppelin. I have a newfound passion for organizing community events, and I'm excited to be a part of the YCA family.
Kali Poulin - Joshua Tree, CA
A true desert rat that grew up in the Western Mojave in North LA County. Kali eventually found her way to the Joshua Tree area. She and her husband own Wandering Mojave Hiking Services, which guides clients in JTNP as well as the greater Mojave. Being an active member of the community for the last 15 years, as well as working in the world of event production and operations for events such as the local Joshua Tree Music Festival to Lightning In A Bottle and Burning Man, Kali was introduced to the YCA through mutual friends Cliffhanger Guides. Kali looks forward to being able to work alongside the YCA to give back to the place she loves. Fun facts: she is a mom expecting her second child this July, she is a soccer coach, prefers her feet on the ground rather than high up on a rock, and thanks her mom for passing down her love of the outdoors.
Jonathan neville - red river gorge, KY
Jonathan grew up in NY climbing in the Gunks but has settled down in the Red River Gorge. He first visited Yosemite this year as was lucky enough to climb El cap!
Savannah Gough - South Lake Tahoe Facelift
Savannah grew up in Bellingham, Washington where her love for snowboarding and mountain biking quickly turned into a passion for being in the mountains. Her obsession with climbing landed her in South Lake Tahoe, where she can frequently visit Yosemite with ease. She is passionate about bringing new people into the sport and showing them how rewarding it can be to put yourself to the test, and achieve. She is adamant about sharing the principles us outdoor adventure seekers have all known to live by. Leave no trace! She works as an event coordinator for the Yosemite FaceLift clean up events in South Lake Tahoe. Bouldering in Tuolumne Meadows is her perfect unplugged getaway.
