As a avid rock climber, I moved to Yosemite in 1972 and have lived here ever since. Living in Yosemite has offered me many opportunities such as rock climbing, hiking, camping, kayaking, and skiing. These adventures brought me to many unique areas of the park that sparked my interest in photography. I began to carry a camera on every excursion to capture images of climbers, skiers, and sunsets from various locations off the beaten trail.

I am the former director of the Ski Patrol at Badger Pass in Yosemite and continue to work there part time. A former Yosemite Mountaineering School Climbing and Nordic ski guide, I have climbed hundreds of Yosemite's climbing routes and have a wealth of knowledge of the park's terrain.

As a acclaimed photographer my photos have appeared in publications around the world including National Geographic Maps, Mens Journal, Climbing, and many other action sport magazines. They have also been used in catalogs such as patagonia, Black Diamond, prAna, Zeal Optics and Five Ten .

I own and operate Yosemite Stock Photographs, a website featuring a collection of his work in Yosemite, TuolumneMeadows .org, a website devoted to climbing in Tuolumne Meadows and 4yosemite.com, which offers unique lodging inside the gates of Yosemite.
